Meet Jesi Petersen

Hi, I’m Dr. Jesi! I graduated from University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2025. I am very excited to get more experience with all aspects of equine medicine as the intern veterinarian this year at Great Lakes Equine!

I am originally from the Northern suburbs of Chicago and grew up riding hunter/jumpers. Currently my zoo of a household contains a goofy Pit Bull mix and 4 cats. I hope to add a couple of horses to the mix eventually! In my free time, I love going on walks and hikes with my dog, baking, doing puzzles, and hanging out with all of my animals.
