Meet Jesi Petersen
DVM
Dr. Jesi graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2025. She joined Great Lakes Equine as the intern veterinarian and is excited to gain experience in all aspects of equine medicine.
Originally from the northern suburbs of Chicago, she grew up riding hunter/jumpers and has always had a strong passion for horses. Her current household includes a playful Pit Bull mix and four cats, and she hopes to add horses to the mix in the future.
In her free time, Dr. Jesi enjoys walking and hiking with her dog, baking, working on puzzles, and spending time with her animals.
